Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("YOGOR," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information through yogor.app (the "Service"). It covers two different kinds of people: members, who create accounts, and non-members, whose information may appear in a Report submitted by a member about them. If you're a non-member and want to know what's held about you, see Section 5.
1. Information We Collect From Members
- Account information: business name, contact name, email, phone, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), profession, and license number/state.
- License verification results: the status returned by the license-lookup services we use (see Section 3), so admins can review anything that doesn't auto-verify.
- Content you submit: Reports, disputes, feedback messages, and any other content you post.
- Usage data: basic session and login activity needed to operate the Service (e.g., session cookies for staying logged in).
2. Information Members Submit About Others
When a member files a Report, they submit information about a third party — typically a customer's name, address, city/state, phone number, and a description of the transaction. This information is provided by the member, not by the person it describes, and we do not independently verify it. We collect and store it as part of operating the Report and dispute features described in our Terms of Service.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the Service — accounts, search, Reports, disputes, and admin review.
- To verify professional licenses via third-party lookup services.
- To send account-related email (password resets, team invitations, feedback confirmations).
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including investigating suspected abuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Report content for advertising or share it outside the Service except as described here or as required by law.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on a small number of vendors to run the Service, each of which processes data on our behalf under its own terms:
- Hosting and database: Render and its underlying infrastructure host the application and the Postgres database that stores all Service data.
- Email delivery: transactional email (password resets, invitations, feedback) is sent via Resend.
- License verification: construction-trade licenses are checked via TradesAPI; real estate agent/broker licenses via the Real Estate License Database (RELD). Other professions are reviewed manually by an admin using public state license-lookup tools.
5. If You're Not a Member but You're Named in a Report
You do not need an account to contact us about information submitted about you. Email [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL] to request a copy of what's on file about you, dispute its accuracy, or ask that it be reviewed. We will route accuracy disputes through the same review process members can trigger in-app, and we reserve the right to remove or label content we determine violates our Terms.
6. Your Rights and Choices (Members)
- You can review and update most of your account information from your Account page.
- You can request account deletion at any time by contacting [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL]. We may retain limited records where necessary for security, legal compliance, or resolving open disputes.
- Depending on your state, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. We honor applicable requests submitted to [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL]; we do not charge a fee for a standard request and do not discriminate against you for making one.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and Report data for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period after that to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations. We can remove specific data sooner on request, subject to Section 5 and 6 above.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Access to admin functions is limited to designated accounts. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and we can't promise the Service will never be compromised.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for licensed business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date.
11. Contact
Questions, requests, or disputes: [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL].
